The 12 Days of Christmas with a dozen 25-foot-tall gazebos filled with mannequins and whimsical animals based on the beloved carol. See the exhibit in the daytime or nighttime with the addition of half a million lights making the exhibit brighter and more magical.
The Artistry of the Nativity, a collection of more than 500 creches (nativity scenes) displayed in the lavishly decorated DeGolyer House. The collections are the Dr. and Mrs. Ray Harrington collection and the George Dvorsky collection. Dvorsky (pronounced “dee-vor-skee), a Broadway star, traveled the globe and collected these creches representing many cultures.
Open now through Jan. 3. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate. More information at dallasarboretum.org.

It’d be lovely to win these tickets. I feel kinda shameful putting my name in the pool. We’re a small family, with 2 of us, out of the blue, being diagnosed this yr with epilepsy. It’s been frightening, career-ending, and devastating for us on all fronts, and yet I know I’m blessed that we’re alive and able to eat, and keep warm as we cling desperately to the One whose birth we celebrate in 6 days.
I think it would be a blessing for us to view creche after creche, to remind us and reaffirm the meaning of Christmas, while many forget this on the slopes and far away beaches. Humbly, I know our souls could benefit from some restoration and loving most of all.

I do activities at a retirement home for independent seniors. Since the holiday craziness of decorating, parties, school and church children visiting, and other Christmas activities began, 3 residents have come forward and offered to help me. I would love to take these 3 special seniors on a special trip to the Arboretum!

We Love the Arboretum & for years it was a very special place to go as a couple, with my parents & with our children. However, as my migraines became worse, and was declared legally disabled with migraines I have been unable to come bc of the heat. We moved out of the area for a while but have been back for about 6 months. With a move costing so much, and unfortunately still owning the other house, it would thrill us to win a family four pack of tickets for our family of 4! My husband & I have been happily married for 26 years, and have 2 children (ages 12 & 14). It is such a great holiday tradition to begin. By next year, we could buy our own tickets. But probably not this year. We really would be honored to win!
