I hate sharing this news, but the Dallas Business Journal is reporting Sports Authority is closing all 25 of its Texas stores, including nine in North Texas.
A spokesman for the company, which is reportedly poised to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, told the Dallas Business Journal on Wednesday that he could not comment on how many Texas stores will be closed. But the Dallas Morning News reported that Sports Authority employees were told all 25 of its Texas stores, including nine in North Texas, will be shuttered. The company closed one store on Christmas Eve at 3190 S. Central Expressway in McKinney.
No timeline was given on when the closures will occur.
