$6 for Admission for 1 to Summer at the Arboretum at Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden ($15 Value)

Think Pokemon Go: Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is offering groups of 10 or more discounts to only $7 per person beginning on Sunday, July 17 through Thursday, July 21. Coupled with the Arboretum’s 30 Pokestops and three gyms in the wildly popular Pokémon Go free-to-play location-based augmented reality mobile game, these discounts offer a great outlet for groups of all kinds and ages to get out and play for less, even as the garden stays open till dark from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Groups more than 10 can also attend the Friday night Garden Gigs concert series at a discounted price of $8 per person.

Garden Gigs: In its second season, runs Fridays through the end of the month, and features a curated selection of local artists and musicians performing intimate sets throughout the 66-acre grounds. Open to the general public, Garden Gigs run from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., offering both fabulous views of Dallas at sunset, and late access to the garden on the shores of White Rock Lake. Guests can bring their own picnics and beverages, or take advantage of delicious offerings from some of DFW’s most popular food trucks. It’s the perfect excursion to kick-off your local summer weekend, or show your out-of-town guests those big and bright stars at night.Gates open at 6 p.m. and parking is included in the tickets, available for $10 per person.

First Responders Free: For the month of July, the Dallas Arboretum is also offering first responders with a valid ID free admission to the main garden, where even during the day, the garden offers cooling delights like children’s favorite Toad Corners, and the cooling mists of Palmer Fern Dell, where temperatures maintain at 20 degrees cooler. The Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden’s 8,000 sq. ft. of misters is always a good choice to cool off this summer. Teachers and educators with a valid picture ID are also offered complimentary daytime admission to both the Main and Children’s Gardens, along with a 10% discount on first-year membership.
