Dollar Days food includes $1 sodas, juice and frozen pops, $2 root beer floats and hotdogs, and $4 brownie sundaes. Guests can also bring in their own food and beverages as well.
The Children’s Adventure Garden offers Matter Mondays, Texas Tuesdays, Water Wednesdays, Think Tank Thursdays, and Find It Fridays every week in August.
August is the last month of Summer at the Arboretum, which features Gary Lee Price’s Great Contributors Bronze Statutes Exhibit throughout the 66-acre gardens. The many beds are bursting with ageratum, impatiens, lobelias, petunias, cleome, begonias, salvia, marigolds and zinnias during the summer. As it heats up, caladiums, lantana, pride ofBarbados, variegated tapioca, elephant ears and coleus are added to the gardens.
August Dollar Day tickets are available for purchase only at the gate. Parking is available for a discounted $5 per vehicle. For more information on August Dollar Days and other daily activities, call 214.515.6500 or visit www.dallasarboretum.org.
