Throughout the month of July at various locations, girls ages 8 and up can participate in various events.Head over here to see the full list of dates and participating locations as well as a phone number to make reservations. Keep in mind that ticket prices will vary by event.

*Bishop Arts District

Christmas only comes around once a year but don’t miss out on a couple of chances to celebrate it this July!

There will be snow, visits by Santa and winter characters, a pajama contest, story time with Mrs. Claus, Charles Dickens readings, a live performance of Merry Christmas Charlie Brown, shopping, specials at restaurants and more at the Bishop Art District’s annual Christmas in July celebration. Festivities are free, family-friendly and start at 6 p.m.

And in Grand Prairie, a Christimas in July Celebration sponsored by Prairie Lights at the Farmers Market will feature Christmas and island-themed music, Christmas-themed events, holiday treats and (if he can take a break) Santa Claus himself as well as live music from steel drummer Charlie Duhon.

July 23 starting at 6 p.m. in Bishop Arts District, and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Market Square in Grand Prairie. Both festivals are free.

Kids Fishing at Bass Pro Saturdays, 11 AM Free Join Bass Pro each week when kids are welcome to fish on their pond. Go here for details.

Enjoy a night filled with great tunes in Downtown Carrollton. Everyone is invited to attend this free event. Be sure to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

Saddle up for the Fort Worth Stockyards National Day of The American Cowboy on Saturday, July 23rd!

Don’t miss out on a day dedicated to the cowboy and lots of fun! Parade starts at 11:30 am, immediately following the Fort Worth Herd Cattle Drive. Activities will take place along East Exchange Avenue in the Fort Worth Stockyards and you can take the opportunity to celebrate the history and heritage of the American Cowboy, with family-friendly activities taking place all day including the World Championship Hay Stacking Contest, cow milking, watermelon eating, seed-spitting, cow chip throwing, tip-to-tip guessing and much more.

Hawaiian Falls introduces Friday Palooza Family-Friendly Friday Nights with extended hours, spectacular fireworks, Dive-in movies and DJ Glow parties at no additional charge every Friday night in July from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. beginning July 8 thru July 29. The extended hours and added events are included with the purchase of a regular daily admission ticket or season pass.

With the exception of Garland, each of the parks will feature a professional fireworks show on two of theFriday nights in July. On July 23 and 24, this outdoor carnival and multi-cultural event will kick off the first annual event, and hopes to welcome over 12K local families and individuals!

On-site activities will include something for everyone: shopping, live entertainment including local bands, dance groups and magicians, food trucks, a kid zone including bounce houses, rock climbing and a petting zoo, a pet adoption site and more.
