Tulips

Do you want to know where to get Easter Photos & Bluebonnet photos in Dallas?  A must see is Texas Tulips.  I had never heard of them before, but upon further investigation it is an AMAZING place for photos especially during Easter.

March and April are the best times to visit and it is free (update… sounds like there might be a $2.50 entrance for 16+)! They are open from February 20th-April 20th from dawn to dusk. They have a hay maze and tulips you can pick and take home (assuming there is a cost involved here). Regardless, as you can see…GREAT photo opportunities and fun for the whole family.

Bluebonnets

If you are looking for Bluebonnets… I found Bluebonnet Sightings, to be a great resource even though it hasn’t been updated since 2013.

Another great resource is Texas Bluebonnet Sightings on Facebook!

We have received one report after another of fields blooming east of the I-35 corridor and north of the I-10 corridor. Brenham, Ennis, the Texas Hill Country, and the DFW are still a little early.

The Flower Mound “Mound” is starting to show signs along with the open field near Bakersfield Park, which is always full of people taking photos this time of year. (Thanks Natalie and Cub Scout Troup 3040 for making sure it’s weed free :))

Wildflowers

Wildflowers have been known to run wild along Legacy Drive and the Dallas North Tollway. This is near the JCPenney headquarters in Plano, TX.

Located in East Dallas, this 66-acre botanical garden offers photographers the opportunity to capture images of flowers, trees, sculptures, and nearby White Rock Lake.

Location: 8525 Garland Rd, Dallas, TX 75218

Many people enjoy visiting the arboretum in the spring and summer because the floral displays are so gorgeous. Fall is also a fun time to visit the arboretum! During the autumn season, the gardens are decorated with 50,000 pumpkins, gourds, and squash.

Dallas Skyline

One of the best locations to shoot the Dallas Skyline is from the popular Trinity River Levee location.  Here is a map to the parking location.

Want other options? This is an excellent list of more locations to shoot in the area.
