Doing some spring cleaning in the pantry? Mark your calendars for the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive 2015 – Saturday, May 9th the largest single-day food drive in the nation. Your donation will benefit the 25 North Texas counties collectively served by the North Texas Food Bank and the Tarrant Area Food Bank.
Local households are encouraged to fill a durable bag with healthy, non-perishable foods like canned vegetables, peanut butter, pasta or cereal for families in need. You can give food items from your pantry or you can purchase products at your neighborhood Kroger store. Once you’ve filled the bag, leave it near your mailbox for your letter carrier to pick up on Saturday, May 9th. The letter carriers will deliver all donations to the local food banks.
