Just as the weather changes with the seasons, so do the sales. End of Summer sales offer some GREAT bargains! Retailers need to empty the shelves and their online stock, to make way for new products that fit the new season. Take advantage of these end of Summer sales, especially with Labor Day creeping up quickly!
This is THE time of the year to stock up on school supplies, office products and paper items you’ll need through the year. After school starts, businesses need to sell off the remainder of their huge stock. This means prices are dropped way low and it’s the perfect time for us to take advantage of that! Markers, crayons, printers, paper, binders, backpacks and laptop bags…anything you can use in a classroom or office, will be on sale!

Retailers are taking the camping, fishing, and hunting gear off the shelves, now that Summer is nearly over. If you are a Fall outdoorsman (or woman) this is the time to hit up those Summer sales on tents, tackle boxes, camping gear, outdoor chairs and more. Here in Texas, most of us prefer to camp during the cooler Fall months, so we’re in luck with big savings!

Everything from playground equipment to grills, and patio sets to gardening tools is on sale right now! Prices are lowered because the season changes, but that doesn’t mean we have to wait until Spring to grab the items we want. Labor Day weekend is an especially great time for sales on these items.

This is the time of year that appliance manufacturers introduce their newest models (in October). That means that last year’s models are on sale to make space for the new supply. In fact, even small appliances like coffee makers, microwaves, toasters and more are on sale, too. This is because college students need these items for their dorm rooms and apartments!

Labor Day brings a big change in the season with a jump in home improvement. Retailers know this, and offer BIG discounts on everything from paint to ceiling fans, power washers to cordless drills and anything else you could possibly need to revamp your home. It’s a great time to grab those DIY items and start making some changes, within your budget! Summer sales will give you the motivation and edge to get some work around the house done.

Back to School sales influence this category a lot. With college students running off to college, retailers drop prices on laptops, computers, game consoles and accessories. They are also emptying the stock rooms of this year’s models at discounted prices, to make way for the new year models! Had your eye on an iPad or Windows Laptop? How about an Xbox bundle? NOW is the time to grab those deals, before the holiday rush! Some of the prices are just under OR just as good as we will see with Black Friday and Cyber Monday! *Note that although August and September aren’t typically the best months to purchase gaming consoles, we’ve seen an influx of deals this year.

After the popular Summer travel season, and before the big holiday rush – airlines and cruise companies drop their prices! This is the “off-season,” and the perfect time to book your travel plans in advance. If you are going to see friends and family during the holidays, buy your tickets now! How about a cruise as a gift to your favorite couple for Christmas – now is when you want to purchase that! Booking ahead of time will save you tons of money and headaches. *Cruises are typically better priced in January, but this is the second best time to score a trip for cheap.

There are clearance events like crazy at online boutiques and major department store websites from August through September, so be sure to stock up! Summer weather in Texas lasts quite a long time. So, we get to take advantage of the Summer apparel clearance prices and wear the hot weather clothing longer!
