As a mom, I know there is not anything much better than being treated to brunch on Mother’s Day!  But if you are up for something new this year, here is our list of unique places to pamper your mama and when the check comes, don’t let her pay!  Many of these annual events take place every year, so you may create a new family tradition, but be sure to make your reservations now as most of these locations will be booked up quickly.

Texas Spice at Omni Dallas Hotel~  Guests at Texas Spice can indulge in Omni Dallas Hotel’s Mother’s Day Brunch to celebrate mom. The menu includes an assortment of local sausages, breads, a gulf coast selection and a spread of breakfast items, including eggs, french toast and breakfast pastries, to kick-start the day. A carving station will also be available offering pork saddle and chorizo, overnight smoked pork shoulder, ham roast and Texas spice brisket. Moms will also appreciate the favorite part of the meal with a special dessert station, featuring Chef Kristina’s dessert extravaganza. Children will especially enjoy the kids buffet, featuring all of their favorites: pasta, mac&cheese, chicken fingers and french fries. Reservations are required at (214) 979-4529.

Gospel Brunch @ The House of Blues~ This experience includes local talent performing both traditional and contemporary Gospel songs personally selected by legendary gospel producer and artist, Kirk Franklin. Before and during the show treat yourself to an amazing all-you-can-eat buffet featuring breakfast favorites plus tender carving stations, southern specialties and mouth-watering desserts. Cafe Modern Brunch @ The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth~ This event offers the opportunity to take in more than 3,000 works of art from the years 1945 to the present as part of your Mother’s Day brunch experience. Cafe Modern offers brunch from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. on Sunday and features cooked-from-scratch menus for both children and adults. The atmosphere is a peaceful bonus and the menu is a la carte.

Nick and Sam’s~ When it comes to showing Mom how much you love and appreciate her, there’s flowers…there’s chocolates…there’s Hallmark…and then there’s Nick & Sam’s Steakhouse. This year, Nick & Sam’s in Uptown is offering two special Mother’s Day seatings for those looking to truly spoil the special lady (or ladies) in their lives. The Mother’s Day Brunch will begin with an array of breakfast selections ranging from chicken & waffles to eggs benedict. A pair of buffet lines will include a Seafood Station, Omelet Station, two Carving Stations and a lavish Dessert Station.

Mimi’s~ Celebrate Mom and those special to her by pampering her like they do in France, with a three-course menu, free pastry, gifts and a relaxing time with loved ones. Moms will receive a French Herb Heart-Shaped Palmier (French pastry) in every bread basket, a take-home muffin square to enjoy later and a Mimi’s French herb seed packet with the French Herb Palmier recipe on the back. And the celebration isn’t over yet. To celebrate Mom again, Mimi’s will invite guests back to celebrate through May 29, Mother’s Day in France, with a free entrée. For Mother’s Day beginning at 11 a.m., Mimi’s offers a three-course celebration menu for $16.99.
