I recently had the opportunity to visit Massage Envy and get a 50 minute massage. Finding a time that fits your schedule is easy at Massage Envy with select locations opening at 8am and closing at 10 pm (plus weekend hours, as well!) You have the option of choosing a male or female therapist when booking your appointment.
I had been to Massage Envy before, so they already had my completed paperwork from last visit. They did inquire if there were any changes since the last time I was in. If it’s your first time, I highly recommend getting there 10-15 minutes early to fill out very important paperwork for your therapist. He or she has your health as their top priority and they’ll want to know any areas to avoid or pay special attention to!
No waiting around at Massage Envy – therapists run VERY on time and you’ll be escorted back to the room by your therapist. My therapist, Jeremy, was ready for me as soon as I walked through the front doors…didn’t even have to sit down in the waiting room!
He asked if there were any area that he needed to pay special attention to, and tailored the session to my concerns.
I was allowed the opportunity to undress and get on a heated table in privacy. The lights in the room are dim and there is soft, soothing music playing. As the massage progresses, the therapist uncovers only the part of the body that is being worked on – the rest stay covered under a sheet on top of a heated table – nice! Massages at Massage Envy are very unintrusive. When the massage was over, he left the room so that I could dress and returned with some cold water for me to drink.
Before I left I had to check out at the front desk that is also where I was able to leave a tip for my therapist. The front desk did go over the pricing/membership with me but I was not at all pressured to sign up or purchase anything.
It was a wonderful experience! The place is clean, quiet, and the staff was professional and courteous to me. I left totally relaxed looking forward to my next visit.
