Mark your calendars for the 2015 Tax FREE Shopping holiday for the back to school season!

Certain back-to-school purchases, such as clothing, school supplies, computers, and other items as defined by the statute, are exempt from sales tax for this time period only.

Here’s a list of the states I’ve found participating so far and links to the items included in the Tax Free Holiday:

Alabama– 12:01 A.M. August 7th – Midnight August 9th

Arkansas– 12:01 A.M. August 1st – 11:59 P.M.

Connecticut– August 16-22

Florida– August 7 through August 16, 2015

Georgia– July 31-August 1, 2015

Iowa– Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8, 2015

Louisiana– Friday, August 7, & Saturday, August 8

Maryland– Sunday, August 9 – Saturday, August 15.

Mississippi-12:01 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, and ends 12:00 midnight Saturday, August 1, 2015.

Missouri– begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 9.

New Mexico– begins at 12:01 a.m. on August 7, 2015 and concludes on August 9, 2015 at midnight.

Ohio– starts on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 12:01 a.m. and ends on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 11:59 p.m.

Oklahoma– begins at 12:01 am on Friday, August 7, 2015 and ends at twelve midnight on Sunday, August 9, 2015.

South Carolina– August 7-9.

Texas– Aug. 7 – 9, 2015

Virginia– August 7-9, 2015
