Have you heard of The Promise in Glen Rose? It’s a one-of-a-kind musical production performed annually at the Texas Amphitheater in Glen Rose, Texas. It combines a 150-person cast and crew, live animals, historically accurate costumes, and breath-taking lights, sound and special effects, all of which tell the story of the life of Jesus Christ in modern family-friendly fashion. Patrons have called it a “life-changing experience”, “an outstanding performance”, and a “very inspirational” presentation for modern family audiences.
You and your family must see The Promise in Glen Rose during its 2015 season, now performing in April through May and September through October! Tickets start at $25.

Since its start in 1989, The Promise remains the largest permanent outdoor amphitheater in the State of Texas. It seats more than 3200 patrons and is the only outdoor venue with a 45,000-gallon waterway running the length of 100′ long proscenium stage. Seen from miles around, the Texas Amphitheater features 40′-high walls and arches that tower above a 4,000 sq. ft. tri-level stage. It is also the only outdoor theater in the nation with a rain curtain.
“This project is funded in part by a grant from the Glen Rose Convention Center & Visitor’s Bureau.”
I went to this when I was a child, and would love to take my family!
I remember seeing something similar as a child when we vacationed in Arkansas or Missouri?? Wherever it was it made a big impact on me. I would love to share this experience with my children.
My family would love to see this! I have heard about The Promise and have been wanting to go. We are in the process of moving to another neighborhood in the area and funds and time have been in short supply. This would be a great break from all the work and a chance to have some family fun! Thanks so much for offering this!
I saw it a long time ago, and I think my kids would really enjoy it!!
This would be a great event to take the family!
I went to the Promise as a child, and it really showed me how Jesus lived and why He died for us. I would love to be able to take my daughter to this.
I took my mom to see this for her 50th birthday. It was amazing! I have always wanted to take my children and husband to experience it! They do an amazing job recreating Jesus’s life and giving us a real-life look at what he endured for us!!!
I attended the Promise when I was a child and would love to be able to take my kids to tsee it no
I have always wanted to go see this. I have heard from so many how awesome it is. Isnt it wonderful to have something like this to remind us of what Jesus has done for us all. He is an awesome God. Thank you for doing this and spreading the good news. 😀
We would LOVE to go! We have 4 young children and it would be a blessing for them to see the life of Christ played out before their eyes. Husband and I would also love to see it 🙂
I would like to bring my step children to this program. They have started taking the children to church and I think this program would encourage them to grow stronger in the church. The world is having such a negative influence on our children, What a blessing to be among believers viewing a Christian program .
I am the mother of 4, work full time and am working on my PhD from A&M. I would love to take my whole family to this amazing program and spend some quality time as a family!
It would be a wonderful family time experience for us!
I can’t think of a greater gift to my teenage children than an experience like this that could touch and speak to their hearts and make an immeasurable difference in their lives. Thank you for the opportunity!
I have always wanted to see The Promise. About 10 years ago, we bought tickets to go but the day we were there, strong storms and a tornado warning cancelled the show. I have always wanted to go again! What a great chance to get to!!
Would love the opportunity and blessing to take my family to enjoy a spiritual renewing together.
Raising 7yo granddaughter, fighting colon cancer, trying to make wonderful memories.
We would love to take our Grandkids to see this!
I would like to take the family so that we can grow spiritually together as a family.
What a great family outing – I would love to take my family and share this with everyone. So thankful that we still tell the story of Jesus in this changing world we live in. This rocks
Have never been able to afford to go. Donated some blankets and coats & went to the Nativity production last year before Christmas. Whole family enjoyed it.
I brought my daughter to The Promise as a child, and she is now 23 and lives far from home. I want to make sure my 2 sons who are now 15 and 17 see the beautiful play before college and the world of adulthood carries them away from us as well.
I would be most grateful to see the production as your guest.

I have been wanting to take my family to this for years and now I think my children are old enough to really be able to understand the meaning.
