Has your summer been hectic? My family has been so busy that it seems like we have never taken a break since school let out! So to get away from it all, even just for the weekend, we love to spend time at the lake and this past weekend, we rented a cabin with Vacation Broken Bow Lake in southern Oklahoma.

One of the best things about our weekend was the reminder that simple experiences often make you happiest. Waking up to a cool 68° morning with a nice cup of coffee and sitting on the porch was so relaxing. During the heat of the afternoon, we jumped into the lake or took a nap in the A/C of our cabin. We had a campfire each night and enjoyed the hot tub after dark. Overall, it was just what we needed and the fact that it was so affordable, made it the perfect weekend away from the city.
