*American Girl
Throughout the month of July at various locations, girls ages 8 and up can participate in various FREE events. Head over here to see the full list of dates and participating locations as well as a phone number to make reservations.

*Bass Pro Shops
Head over to your local Bass Pro Shops through July 26th where they are offering up FREE Family Summer Camp Events including Catch & Release pond & photo download, Shooting Arcade, Casting Challenge, BB Shooting Range, and more!

*Chick-fil-A

Daddy-Daughter Date Night is only 4 days away at Chick-fil-A Northwest Highway!

If you’d like to go, simply email your RSVP to marketing@cfanwhwy.com. Please include which time you would like to make a reservation for, and the first names of those who will be attending. There is no “age limit” on dads or daughters…all are welcome!

They are currently taking reservations for 5-5:45 and 6-6:45on Tuesday, July 28th.

 

*Dallas Arboretum

The dog days of summer means one thing at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden:August Dollar Days, presented by Time Warner Cable. The garden will offer $1 general garden admission, select $1 and $2 food and drink options and $2 Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden admission to all guests during August. As a part of its Connect a Million Minds Initiative (CAMM), Time Warner Cable partners with the Dallas Arboretum to provide August Dollar Days to the general public and to support after-school STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) activities as it applies to science and nature.

August is the last month of Summer at the Arboretum, which features the impressive topiary flower houses that feature Texas tales along with daily interactive activities in the Children’s Adventure Garden. The many beds are bursting with ageratum, impatiens, lobelias, petunias, cleome, begonias, salvia, marigolds and zinnias during the summer. As it heats up, caladiums, lantana, pride of Barbados, variegated tapioca, elephant ears and coleus are added to the gardens.

As a part of August Dollar Days, there will also be $1 and $2 food and drink items including hot dogs, juice boxes, root beer floats and more at select restaurants in the garden.

*Disney Store
Through September 1st, attend the FREE Summer Play Days for store events including Art of Animation, Trivia, Story Time and Showtime. Stop by every week and receive a character button.

*Family Christian
Now through August 27th, Family Christian Bookstore is kicking off their Summer Reading Program! Kids 12 years and younger can earn a FREE $10 off $10+ Savings Pass whenever they read and complete a Book Report form for six Christian books and bring in the forms to any Family Christian store! If you don’t live by a Family Christian store, you can submit your completed forms and mailing address to customerservice@familychristian.com.

Famous Footwear announced it is opening two new stores in the Dallas area. Both locations will host grand opening events on July 25th!

· The first location is at Cityplace Market at 2415 North Haskell Ave. Famous Footwear’s new space has 8,000-square-feet.

· The second location in Granbury, Texas has 5,000-square-feet and is located in the Luton Ranch West center at 3736 E Highway 277.

To celebrate the openings, both Famous Footwear locations are hosting an all-day grand opening event on July 25 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Shoppers are invited to experience fun festivities including:

· Free pair of shoes to the first 100 guests who attend the grand opening event

· Drawings from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for a chance to win free shoes

· An appearance from popular local radio stations, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., giving shoppers the chance to meet some of their favorite radio personalities and win prizes.

Register now for the upcoming Home Depot Kids Workshop on August 1st where kids can build a FREE Chalkboard Door Hanger.

These workshops are designed for ages 5-12 and are offered the 1st Saturday at all The Home Depot stores between 9AM-12PM.

*Kids Bowl Free
Get your kiddos out of the house and keep them entertained all Summer long with the Kids Bowl Free Program! The 8th annual Kids Bowl Free program can be found at over 1,000 bowling centers in the US and Canada and is valid for kids ages 15 and under. Registration is 100% FREE – each child will snag coupons for 2 free games of bowling daily throughout the summer.

Registration is now open for the upcoming Lowe’s Kids Clinic! On Saturday, July 25th at 10AM, head on into Lowe’s where kids can build a FREE Avenger’s Hawkeye’s Quinjet! Be sure to register your kiddos now as spots tend to fill up quickly!

And on August 1st from 9AM-Noon, kids can build a FREE Chalkboard Door Hanger at the Home Depot Kids Workshop (just be sure to register to reserve a spot)! These workshops are designed for ages 5-12.

*Microsoft YouthSpark Summer Camps
Microsoft retail stores are hosting YouthSpark Summer Camps for kids ages 8-13 throughout the summer. This FREE camp is divided into two age groups for beginner Game Coders (recommended for ages 8-11) and intermediate Game Coders (recommended for ages 8-11 or older). The camps are 2 hours a day, Monday-Thursday, and are available at Microsoft Retail Stores throughout the country.

*SPARK! is celebrating the grand opening of its 11,000-square-foot prototype facility located in South Dallas. SPARK! is a one-of-a-kind, hands-on learning environment for children ages 7-17.  Take a Walk on the Creative Side and join them on July 23 from 7-10 pm.
