Throughout the month of July at various locations, girls ages 8 and up can participate in various FREE events. Head over here to see the full list of dates and participating locations as well as a phone number to make reservations.
*Bank of America Free Museum Weekend

Are you a Bank of America card holder? Did you know that for a full weekend each month, you can visit a museum for FREE?

This is the weekend – August 1 & 2, 2015, where you can get one FREE admission to the Perot Museum in Dallas or the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History! For more about FREE Museum Weekend from Bank of America and a list of museums go HERE.

 

*Dallas Arboretum

The dog days of summer means one thing at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden:August Dollar Days, presented by Time Warner Cable. The garden will offer $1 general garden admission, select $1 and $2 food and drink options and $2 Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden admission to all guests during August. As a part of its Connect a Million Minds Initiative (CAMM), Time Warner Cable partners with the Dallas Arboretum to provide August Dollar Days to the general public and to support after-school STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) activities as it applies to science and nature.

August is the last month of Summer at the Arboretum, which features the impressive topiary flower houses that feature Texas tales along with daily interactive activities in the Children’s Adventure Garden. The many beds are bursting with ageratum, impatiens, lobelias, petunias, cleome, begonias, salvia, marigolds and zinnias during the summer. As it heats up, caladiums, lantana, pride of Barbados, variegated tapioca, elephant ears and coleus are added to the gardens.

As a part of August Dollar Days, there will also be $1 and $2 food and drink items including hot dogs, juice boxes, root beer floats and more at select restaurants in the garden.

Through September 1st, attend the FREE Summer Play Days for store events including Art of Animation, Trivia, Story Time and Showtime. Stop by every week and receive a character button.

*Family Christian
Now through August 27th, Family Christian Bookstore is kicking off their Summer Reading Program! Kids 12 years and younger can earn a FREE $10 off $10+ Savings Pass whenever they read and complete a Book Report form for six Christian books and bring in the forms to any Family Christian store! If you don’t live by a Family Christian store, you can submit your completed forms and mailing address to customerservice@familychristian.com.

*Flower Mound

This weekend, enjoy FREE, air-conditioned entertainment for the entire family at Trietsch United Methodist Church’s production of “Godspell.” If you’ve seen past TMUMC summer musicals (Annie, Sound of Music, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, etc.) you know they put on elaborate productions with talented casts.

It’s open to the community and everyone is invited to experience a little Broadway in FloMo. FREE childcare is provided, but the show is great for kids ages 5 and up.

*Microsoft YouthSpark Summer Camps
Microsoft retail stores are hosting YouthSpark Summer Camps for kids ages 8-13 throughout the summer. This FREE camp is divided into two age groups for beginner Game Coders (recommended for ages 8-11) and intermediate Game Coders (recommended for ages 8-11 or older). The camps are 2 hours a day, Monday-Thursday, and are available at Microsoft Retail Stores throughout the country.
