Cheap Date Night Ideas

Although we would all LOVE to head out for a night on the town when we are feeling amorous with our significant other, that’s just not always possible. There are a ton of cheap date night ideas that any couple can do locally!  Here are 10 ideas for you and your date:

  • Visit your local museum. Check out the different museums in your area and see if they offer any discounts, or if certain days of the week are cheaper than others. There may even be some museums you can visit with less than $5 per ticket, or free!  You’ll find tons of great things going on around town HERE.
  • Head to a local bar and grill for karaoke night. Most of the times, bar and grills will offer $2 drinks, cheap appetizers or meals for two. Not only will you get to each for cheap, but will have entertainment too.  Find more restaurant deals HERE.
  • Visit a local brewery. Call ahead, and ask about prices, discounts and what samples are available. Most of the times there is only a small fee and unlimited samples of their popular craft brews. Sometimes, if you let them know it is date night they will offer a few extras for free.
  • Enjoy a friendly game of bowling. At our local bowling place, it is only $2 per game per person. For less than $10 you and your spouse can enjoy 5 games. Make sure to bring your own socks, so you will not have to purchase socks from there. Call ahead and get a schedule of any specials. Sometimes they have a ladies night where ladies get free games or discount drinks.
  • Have a date night at home. Head to your local grocery store and pick up a bottle of wine, crackers, and cheese and enjoy a peaceful night in. Look through old photographs, watch old videos, start a new series on Netflix or just sit on the couch talking and enjoying each other.  Grab some board games and go old school!
  • Spend time outdoors. If you have a truck, put a blanket out in the back and look at the stars and see how many different constellations you can name. If you do not have a truck, you can still spread out a blanket on the grass and enjoy the stars and beautiful night sky.
  • Visit your local flea market. There are so many great things you can find there. You could also support locals that are trying to start a business or even find the perfect picture to hang in your living room for less than $1.00.
  • Cheer on the local high school teams. The games are just as exciting as the pro teams and the kids would love seeing all the support in the stands. Every purchase helps support the local school and community.
  • Go on a tour of your city, especially a ghost town, if your city offers it. Not only will you learn fascinating history about your town, but you never know what you will see while you are out.
  • Check out the local farms and pick your own fruits and veggies. You can visit www.pickyourown.org to see which farms you can visit and what is available to pick. During the fall a pumpkin patch would be a great place to visit.
