In Texas, Mexican Americans celebrate the Mexican national holiday referred to as Fiestas Patrias, also called Dieciseis de Septiembre. It commemorates Father Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla’s grito de Dolores who called for the end of Spanish rule in Mexico. In 1825, the Republic of Mexico officially declared Dieciseis de Septiembre its national Independence Day.

Traders Village will continue that holiday tradition at the market by celebrating FIESTAS PATRIAS on September 14th-15th. The celebration will have a free live concerts on 4 stages featuring mariachi bands, folkloric ballet, regional Mexican bands and lots of traditional foods!

Admission to Traders Village if FREE and it’s just $4.00 to park. Traders Village is centrally located in Grand Prairie, Texas off Highway 360 on Mayfield Road.
