Check out the FREE Denton Arts & Jazz Festival going on this weekend!
Jazz won’t be the only music coming from this festival’s six stages. Expect rock, blues, country, Tejano, folk and more as dozens of acts, including professional bands and ensembles from the University of North Texas College of Music, take the mike at this celebration of community creativity.
This year’s lineup includes Tower of Power, Jason Moran and the Bandwagon, Little Elmo and the Mambo Kings, Brian Houser, Little Jack Melody and his Young Turks, Taste of Herb, Freddie Jones and Brave Combo. There’ll also be a children’s area, arts and crafts for sale and food vendors.
Oct. 1 from 3 to 11 p.m., Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Oct. 3 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Quakertown Park, 321 E. McKinney St., Denton. Free admission.
