Downtown McKinney’s spring festival is returning with a reimagined format to allow people to spread out. The three-day event will feature more than 120 juried artists, musicians, 15 wineries and food vendors. Festival organizers have changed the layout, placing tents farther apart and staggering the openings.

The festival’s footprint will also extend farther east than it usually does to accommodate additional spacing needs, and the main stage concert areas and the large wine tent have been replaced with two smaller stages and an open-air pavilion. There will be a hands-on Kids Creation Station where children can create take-home crafts from kits ($10-$20).

April 9 from 5 to 10 p.m., April 10 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., April 11 from noon to 5 p.m. at 111 N. Tennessee St., McKinney. Free admission and parking. For $25, those 21 and older can get a souvenir glass and 10 wine tastings.
