The ultimate staycation is a short trip away this year as Gaylord Texan celebrates its 16th annual SummerFest featuring The Adventures of Peter Pan. Boasting this all-new magical new theme, the resort will offer those of all ages a variety of family-friendly events and entertainment experiences to enjoy!
Peter Pan-themed activities will include:
- Pan’s Painting and Treasures where children’s inner artists come to life while painting Peter Pan-themed canvases and decorating custom treasure chests (offered Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays)
- Hook’s Scavenger Hunt where adventurers will follow clues left by the Lost Boys to outsmart Captain Hook and track down his treasure (offered daily)
- Two Escape Rooms including Escape to Neverland, inviting visitors to step into a one-of-a-kind blacklight experience, and Pirate’s Revenge, where visitors will board Captain Hook’s ship to search for Peter Pan’s shadow (offered daily)
- Wendy’s Journey to Neverland featuring an interactive adventure with guided activities, exclusive character photo opportunities and a souvenir to take home
- Dream On: A Video Mapping Show where guests will watch the magical world of Neverland come alive on our Mission Plaza facade (offered Fridays and Saturdays)
- “Never Grow Up” Art Trail (offered daily)
- “Second Star to the Right” Selfie Tour (offered daily)
Other summer programs will include Light Up the Night Pajama Dance Party (offered Fridays and Saturdays), Junior Chefs Camp for kids (offered select Saturdays), strolling entertainers, bourbon tastings, happy hours, wine and cheese pairings, and spa specials.
In addition to the adventures inside, hotel guests can make a splash at Paradise Springs, the resort’s 10-acre outdoor waterpark. Adults can grab a cocktail and tube down the relaxing 600-foot long lazy river while kids play in a giant water treehouse, four winding waterslides, and a 6,000-square-foot family lagoon. Pool fun will include live DJ music, hair braiding, airbrush tattoos and more every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Private cabanas are also available for rent, providing extra shade, soft seating, TVs, and refrigerators.
