Want to visit the Trains at NorthPark during your holiday break? If you have never been to this exhibit before, it is great for the whole family! This year, they celebrate the 30th year at NorthPark Center with the most elaborate toy trains exhibit in Texas!
The Trains at NorthPark are a holiday family tradition has become a favorite for generations of Dallasites and includes 1600 feet of track rolling from coast to coast on a whimsical rail journey across America. The Trains travel from the autumn foliage of New England to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge with stops along the way to see New York City, Washington DC, our beautiful city of Dallas, and the desert Southwest including the Grand Canyon and the Garden of the Gods—we even have some interplanetary visitors from Outer Space! More than 70,000 visitors are entertained each season.

Our grandaughter’s moved away from us to san jose california earlier this year much to our dismay… BUT … as fate would have it they will be here from dec 30th thru jan 4th. We’d like to keep them entertained while mommy and daddy are gone to florida to attend a wedding. I would take 2 of my granddaughters (12 and 13) and my 3 year old grandson, Jack. Jack’s 2nd word was “car” and he loves anything with wheels! His pajamas, backpack, a quilt I made him, dishes, all have cars or trains on them. The only toys he wants to play with are cars, trains, and trucks. I think he will grow up to be a race car driver or train conductor!

I have 4 kids (3 boys/1 girl). My oldest just turned 13 and is at that stage where some days, what used to be magical is no longer, but on other days, he’s not quite ready to let go of all the holiday magic. My other 3 are still very much into all the magic of Christmas and all that comes with it.
My 2nd son will be a teenager next year, and I’m anticipating quite a different Christmas than what we’ve had thus far.
