Arrive in downtown Arlington as early as 2 p.m. for live music and other performances, snow shovel races and other games, photos with Santa and kid-friendly Christmas movies in the City Council chambers. The nighttime lighted parade begins at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a lighting ceremony for the 50- foot-tall blue spruce Christmas tree at 7 p.m.
