Norma’s Cafe is partnering up with Special Olympics Texas on Wednesday, May 10 for the Law Enforcement Torch Run’s Tip-A-Cop event. Local law enforcement agency officers will serve Norma’s Cafe guests to raise awareness for the organization. All four locations will participate in the event from 7:30 AM to 1 PM and a portion of sales from the day, as well as the officer’s tips, will benefit Special Olympics Texas.

Guests can support Special Olympics Texas while satisfying their craving for Texas-style home cooking by dining in at any of the cafes. Law enforcement officials and Special Olympic athletes will be working alongside Norma’s Cafe employees all day to collect donations, sell merchandise to support the organization and spread awareness of the programs offered by Special Olympics Texas.

Special Olympics Texas provides year-round training and athletic competitions in a variety of Olympic-type sporting events for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Funds raised from the Tip-A-Cop event will support the athletic programs within the organization. Last year Norma’s Cafe donated more than $8,800.
