Dog lovers unite! Operation Kindness, North Texas’ original and largest no-animal shelter, and sponsor Pet Supplies Pet are preparing for the 25th annual Dog Day Afternoon.

On September 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., locals can head over to the Operation Kindness Animal shelter in Carrollton for a free family festival to celebrate man’s best friend. Stop by the Mutt Midway to check out the dozens of vendors and food trucks participating in the day of fun.

As guests are jamming to the music from the DJ, they can enjoy face painting, unicorn photo opportunities, a puppy kissing booth, prize wheel and a variety of canine contests including “Best Costume,” “Best Stupid Pet Trick,” and “Best Pooch Smooch.” So be sure to dress your pup to impress.
