Take a step back in time to the 16th Century with Kings and Queens in North Texas! Scarborough Renaissance Festival runs only on weekends for a couple of months in the Spring, and it is a great family event.

Here are dates and pricing.

On Opening Weekend, Up to 3 children will be admitted free with each paid adult. Seniors (65+) can get in for 1/2 price on Opening Weekend when they purchase tickets at the Gate.

Well we found this Groupon for half off entry that isn’t available YET! (I don’t know when or if it will become available so keep checking as it’s the best deal so far)

So we found some other alternatives:

– Use promo code COLLEGEUTA to save $6.

– A ‘2 tickets for $40’ coupon can be found at North Texas METROPCS stores from March 28th through May 1st
– Discount tickets can be purchased at TOM THUMB & ALBERTSONS stores ($22 for adults, $9 for children)
– $2.00 off discount coupons are available at WAXAHACHIE AUTOPLEX.
– Active MILITARY Personnel and up to four members of their family receive $4.00 off admission (valid only for adult tickets) upon showing valid military identification at the Scarborough Renaissance Festival® Ticket Office. Offer only valid at the Gate.
– SENIORS (65+) receive $2.00 off of adult admission upon showing valid identification at the Scarborough Renaissance Festival® Ticket Office. Offer only valid at the Gate.
– OPENING WEEKEND ONLY (4/9/16 – 4/10/16): Up to 3 children admitted free with each paid adult. Seniors (65+) are 1/2 price.

– Student Days Admission is only $8.00 per student. One chaperone is admitted free for every 7 student tickets purchased. Additional chaperones may purchase tickets in advance for only $10.00. If purchased at the gate, these tickets will cost $15.00. Student Days are open to school groups only and not to the general public.

Things to see:

Entertainment: You’ll find birds-of-prey demos, juggling, jousting, sword-fighting, Scottish bagpipers and belly dancers, plus find 21 stages with more than 200 performances daily.

Great Food & Drink: Turkey legs, scotch eggs, fruit and salads. Wine and beer tastings for those 21 and over occur daily ($25-$30 in addition to regular admission, souvenir wine glass or pint glass included; advance online purchase suggested).

Shopping:  More than 200 craft shops feature items handmade by folks from around the country. Jewelry, clothes, metal work, pottery, leather goods, toys, candles, musical instruments and much more.

Artisan demos: Check out craftsmen and women demonstrating ancient crafts such as glass blowing, blacksmithing, candle-making, printing on a Gutenberg press, pottery, broom-making, armor-tooling, incense-making, bookbinding, basket-weaving and coin-minting.
