Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Irish or not, it’s a fun day to celebrate. Check out these St. Patrick Day Deals and Freebies to make your St. Patrick’s Day in DFW memorable.

Events:

St. Pat’s Bar Crawl (March 18)

  • $11 for one general-admission ticket (up to $23.71 value)
  • Ages 21+

All crawls run for six hours from their respective start times. The package includes:

Lucky Irish Food Truck Festival on Saturday, March 18, at 11 a.m.

  • The Food: Over 15 of the region’s top food trucks serve up a wide variety of flavors to please every palate.
  • The Festivities: Live music and Irish dancers keep the energy crackling, while kids delight in bounce houses, a petting zoo, and a trackless train.
  • The Drinks: Green beers and other green beverages get attendees in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit.
  • The Good Cause: The event will benefit Emergency Ministries, a nonprofit 501c3 that provides chaplain services to police, fire and EMS agencies.

Deep Ellum Wine Walk – St. Patrick’s Shindig at Kettle Art  Thursday, March 16th from 6pm-9pm.  Tickets are $10. Shake your shamrock at the 2nd annual Deep Ellum Wine Walk – St. Patrick’s Shindig! St Patrick’s Day Party at Humperdinks  Friday, March 17th at 11am.  Menu features favorites like Shamrock Burger and Corned Beef & Hash, plus several fun alcoholic beverages.

 

St. Patrick’s Day Bash Friday, March 17th at 11am. Flying Saucer is your destination to celebrate the luck of the Irish, and we’re going green with a Green Flash Brewing Company tap takeover. We’ll tap Nouveau Tarte, Alpine Not Nelson, Cosmic Ristretto, Cellar 3 and GFB. On top of that, we’ll have corned beef and cabbage, $1 green Jell-O shots and $3 Irish brews.

St. Patrick’s Day at Old Monk: The Old Monk celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with live music, Irish food, beer and whiskey. Pub opens at 11 a.m.

Bands:
Homespun Remedies at 4 p.m.
Whiskey Folk Ramblers at 8:30 p.m.

Irish dancers at 6:30 p.m. Corned Beef & Cabbage, beef stew, Irish Reubens, Bread Pudding served 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

St. Patrick’s Day Crafts: Kids of all ages can drop by the West Irving Library for an hour of St. Patrick’s Day make and take crafts on March 17th from 1pm – 4pm FREE

 

 

 

 

Saint Patrick’s Neighborhood Party at Dallas Farmers Market FREE even from 5pm-11pm on March 17th.

Kiss Me I’m Irish Express at Grapevine Vintage Railroad

Time: Boarding begins at 6:40 p.m.

Train departs at 7 p.m.
Train returns at approximately 9 p.m.

Admission: $39 per person (Adults 21 years and older)

The “Kiss Me I’m Irish” Express Train ticket includes:

2 craft brews for each person, Heavy Irish style hors d’oeuvres, Souvenir beer mug        Additional beer is available for purchase.

 

The “Kiss Me I’m Irish” Express train does not travel to the Fort Worth Stockyards. Seating is assigned upon check-in. All groups or guests that wish to ride together must check in at the same time to ensure they are seated in the same coach. Changes cannot be made in seating assignments after boarding passes are issued.

Boarding passes may be picked up at the Grapevine Cotton Belt Depot, 705 S. Main St.  Boarding will begin at 6:40 p.m. and the train will depart promptly at 7 p.m. – rain or shine. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to boarding to pick up your boarding passes.  No refunds will be issued for missed trains. The train will return at approximately 9 p.m.

Please bring this confirmation to be scanned and a photo ID prior to boarding the “Kiss Me I’m Irish” Express Train.

Dark Hour Haunted House a haunted house in Plano, Texas.  Dark Hour is DFW’s premier haunted attraction, conveniently located in Plano, Texas on Plano Parkway just off of Hwy 75 and the President George Bush Turnpike. Since opening its doors during the Halloween Season in 2013, the goal of Dark Hour Haunted House has always been a simple one: produce the highest quality haunt experience available. Sets worthy of a Broadway production, professional actors, as well as strategic use of technology produces a genuine theatrical experience in terror for Dark Hour visitors. New shows are produced monthly which build on the existing theme of the Witch of Coven Manor, creating an expanded exploration of fear throughout the year.

Ennis has bluebonnets, Parker County has peaches and Mansfield has…pickles? Yes! The proud home to Best Maid Pickles and the Pickle Queens, Mansfield is officially the Pickle Capital of Texas. This great honor is celebrated each spring with the now world-famous St. Patty’s Day Pickle Parade & Palooza, a huge one-day celebration of all things green.

Parking and attendance at the parade, festival and live concerts are all completely free, but visitors are advised to plan ahead and come early in anticipation of ever-growing crowds. Check the group’s website for more details.

Schedule of Events:

8 a.m.  Methodist Mansfield Pickle 10K, 5K and Kids K

Down some muscle-friendly pickle juice and start your day with one of these timed races or fun runs that include a costume contest and dill pickle for all finishers.

10 a.m. – 6 p.m.  Vendor Market & Food Court

Visitors to the Pickle Market will be treated to more than 70 arts & crafts, cottage food and other retail vendors. Enjoy a unique array of goods from canned pickles to pickle-themed shirts and everything in between.

10 a.m. – 6 p.m.  Baylor Emergency Medical Pickle Playground

The Pickle Playground offers free children’s activities, including crafts, face painting, a petting zoo and bounce houses. The Pickle Playground is free for our guests with a variety of games and activities for the kids. Playground is closed during the parade.

10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Community Stage

Located near the playground, the Kids Korner stage showcases local musical talents, dance groups, and other performers.

10:30 a.m.  Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders autographs

11 a.m.  Shenaniguns Comedy Show on Main Street

These crazy cowboys are known for the wild west show happening daily at Six Flags Over Texas and they’re bringing the fun right to the middle of Main Street for a show you don’t want to miss.

11 a.m. Beer tent opens on Main Street

11 a.m. Run 4 Cover Band on Best Maid Stage

12 p.m. Pet Parade

1 p.m. World’s Only St. Patty’s Day Pickle Parade

The popular parade down Main Street at 1 p.m. and boasts more than 90 floats, topped by the nationally recognized Mansfield Pickle Queens, with their bright red wigs and shining tiaras, and the giant walking Pickle Dude mascot, who can be seen sporting a cowboy hat and boots this year to fit the Kowbell theme.

2:30 p.m. Nashville Star Coffey Anderson on Best Maid Stage

4 p.m.  Kendra’s Kreations Pickle Eating and Mindy Lu’s Pie Eating Contests

Do you LOVE pickles? Do you drink all the pickle juice before you eat the pickles? Enter the Kendra’s Kreations Pickle Eating and Pickle Juice Drinking Contests. Had your fill of green? Try your hand (or stomach!) at the Mindy Lu’s Fried Pie eating contest and see how many sweet creations you can down. Sign up at the Pickle Queen booth at the corner of Oak and Main streets the morning of the parade. Entry is free and limited to the first 12 people over the age of 18 to sign up. One contest per person, pickle prizes for winners.

6 p.m. Asleep at the Wheel Concert

Joining the festivities will be 9-time Grammy Award-winning Western swing legend Asleep at the Wheel. The Texas-based eight-piece band will get downtown rocking with twin fiddles and a boogie piano in a free concert sponsored by the City of Mansfield.

8 p.m. Food Court & Market close

The Pickled Mansfield Society is a 501(c)4 all-volunteer nonprofit organization created to produce and promote The World’s Only St. Paddy’s Pickle Parade & Palooza. The Mansfield Pickle Queens, a chapter of the National Sweet Potato Queens organization, help organize the event and spend the rest of each year promoting and showcasing the Pickle Capital of Texas throughout the state. Beneficiaries from funds raised in the Pickle event include Feed the Kids for Summer, the Mansfield Animal Shelter and Trinity Habitat for Humanity.

The Fort Worth Stockyards will host Cowtown Goes Green, the city’s largest and most family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day celebration. The event in the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District will feature free activities for kids including armadillo races, a petting zoo, face painting, live music, and gunfights.We also feature a Western/Irish themed Cowtown Goes Green parade that follows the 4pm cattle drive. All activities are free of charge and are open to the public. 03/18/2017 – 11:30am03/18/2017 – 5:00pm
