Bring an appetite, listen to music, and chow down on a world of culture and cuisine any “foodie” would enjoy!
The event is free to attend and the entertainment starts with Latin beats played by Los Mariachi Locos from 3:30-4:30 p.m.; the music turns Caribbean with a live performance by Watusi Trio from 5-6 p.m.; Bollywood dancers will perform from 6:30-7:30 p.m.; and African drummers will end the evening from 8-9.
Stop by the game area on the Square, hold out a hand for a free henna design, and get a free calaca face painting. Experience the classic British game Pass the Parcel or check out the Tiki-themed games including a Limbo bar. Before moving on, stop for a photo op in front of the 7-foot “Around the World” map, where attendees can mark the places they have visited and see where others have been.
Sample-sized food bites will be available for $3, in addition to full-size portions at varying prices. For the ultimate experience, purchase a “Foodie Passport” for ages 21+ before the event for $30 while supplies last. Passports include two cocktail samples, nine food samples, and a souvenir World of Foodies glass.
