Talk about a simple DIY project you can do in a flash! Ava had to make a product for school that she could sell for Mini-Society. We wanted something that was unique and fashionable AND easy as we had to make 30 of them.
DIY Lace Boot Cuffs
With a little lace (or even an old sweater…use the sleeves) and 30 minutes you can have your own DIY Lace Boot cuffs! This would make for a great Christmas gift too!
You will need:
- measuring tape
- stretchy wide lace
- scissors
- sewing machine or you could sew by hand to
- buttons (optional)
1. Measure around your calf. Subtract one inch and cut that length from your lace.
2. Fold the fabric in half right sides facing in. Sew along edge.
3. Turn cuffs right side out and you should have tube shaped cuffs.
I thought this was a great opportunity to teach Ava how to use a sewing machine, but you can sew by hand too!
Here is a little video of our work too!
If you don’t want to make them yourself, you can buy them for as low as $1.09 shipped too :)! It was just more fun for us to make them ourselves. ENJOY!
You can Pair them with tights, leggings, skirts, skinny jeans for a sweet cozy look.
Care: Hand wash cold and lay flat to dry
