drugsLooking to ways to save on prescription drugs? Sam’s Club recently announced the launch of an expanded prescription savings program that gives additional savings on generic prescriptions, some of which are available free of charge or at a discounted cost of $4 or $10 at specified quantities.

The expanded prescription savings program enables Plus™ and Business Plus members to save even more money through new benefits. New savings on generic prescriptions, some of which are available free of charge or at a discounted cost of $4 or $10 at specified quantities, are now available in all Sam’s Club locations with pharmacies1.

Other Ways to Save on Prescription Drugs

  • Go to internetdrugcoupons.com to find manufacturers coupons/vouchers.
  • When possible, fill for 90 days instead of 30 days. Ask the pharmacy to change current prescriptions to 90 days.
  • Try using Costco.com or Sam’s Club to comparison shop. At Costco or Sam’s Club, the pharmacy can be used without a membership. Most of the time, these two stores will match or beat the others price. Sam’s Club offers deeper discounts (pay cash and get up to 40% off for business members).
  • If all else fails, the doctor’s office can office assist in providing samples for a short amount of time. There is no guarantee as their supply constantly changes.
  • Don’t wait until the last minute for refills. Medication shortages and prior authorizations are becoming the norm.
