Companies Who are Hiring During COVID-19 Pandemic

If you are looking for work due to the coronavirus pandemic, here a list of popular companies that are now hiring hundreds or thousands of workers in response to the newly sparked demand.

7-Eleven 7-Eleven plans to hire up to 20,000 new store employees nationwide to meet increased demand caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Albertsons, Tom Thumb, & affiliates To respond to the demand in grocery store traffic, Albertsons Companies are immediately hiring 30,000 new part-time associates. The company fully understands that most people will return to their previous jobs when the crisis is over, and the company and partner employers are fully supportive of the other’s efforts to keep people working.

ALDI ALDI is hiring in all of its stores and warehouses, with thousands of available positions listed on their website.

Amazon Amazon plans to hire 100,000 additional warehouse and delivery workers to help handle the increase in online orders due to the Coronavirus. If you’re interested in applying, visit the Amazon Delivers Jobs website and select your location.

CVS Health CVS Health plans to hire 50,000 full-time, part-time, and temporary roles across the country. Roles include store associates, home delivery drivers, distribution center employees, and member/customer service professionals.

Dollar General Dollar General plans to nearly double its normal hiring rate and hire up to 50,000 employees by the end of April as it continues to diligently work to support customers’ needs.

Dollar Tree Dollar Tree plans to hire 25,000 associates at Dollar Tree and Family Dollar stores and distribution centers across the U.S. due to the Coronavirus. The open positions include full-time and part-time managers at the Company’s more than 15,000 store locations, along with flexible part-time shifts for cashiers and stockers. Positions in the Company’s 24 distribution centers include order fillers, equipment operators, and warehouse associates.

Domino’s Domino’s is hiring thousands of delivery experts, pizza makers, customer service representatives, managers, and assistant managers at their open stores across the U.S. They’re also hiring Class A CDL drivers for their delivery pizza driver positions.

Instacart Instacart plans to hire an additional 300,000 full-service shoppers across North America over the next three months to meet the increasing customer demand for online grocery delivery and pickup in the U.S. and Canada.

Kroger According to this news publication, Kroger recently hired 2,000 new associates in response to increased demand from the Coronavirus. However, there are more than 10,000 openings still to fill in its stores, plants, and warehouses.

Papa John’s Papa John’s is hiring up to 20,000 new restaurant team members immediately. The pizza company is committed to the communities it serves by delivering meals and offering carryout, meeting a valuable need during these challenging times.

PepsiCo PepsiCo announced it will hire 6,000 new, full-time, full-benefit frontline employees across the U.S. in the coming months.

Pizza Hut Pizza Hut and its franchisees are hiring more than 30,000 permanent positions currently available nationwide. Available jobs include cooks, shift leaders, restaurant managers, and virtual call center agents. Pizza Hut is also hiring more drivers to meet an increased delivery demand as more customers order to eat at home.

Sam’s Club Sam’s Club is seeking new employees to work in customer service, maintenance, merchandise stocking, and fresh food areas of the store. Many of the positions offer full-time, permanent work.

Shipt Given the current environment, Shipt is experiencing an unprecedented rise in demand for home delivery of groceries, household essentials, and medications. To best meet the needs of the communities we serve, they’re actively hiring thousands of new Shipt Shoppers across the country.

Walgreens With growing needs and support for Walgreens stores and pharmacies, Walgreens is also looking to fill more than 9,500 existing full-time, part-time, and temporary roles in stores across the U.S., including customer service associates, pharmacy technicians, & shift leads.

Walmart Walmart plans to hire over 150,000 hourly associates in the U.S. through the end of May. These new employees will work in stores, clubs, distribution centers, and fulfillment centers. The roles will be temporary at first but may convert to permanent roles over time.
